1. Definition of Groove pulley
The groove pulley is a grooved wheel, but most of the components used to refer to the groove pulley mechanism and the crank and frame equipped with round pins form a stepping groove pulley mechanism, which is mainly used for intermittent transmission.
2.Groove pulley classification
Depending on the position of the groove, the flat groove pulley has an outer groove pulley and an inner groove pulley.
Outer groove pulley: The radial opening of the groove pulley is outward from the center of the circle, and the driving member and the driven groove pulley turn oppositely.
Inner groove pulley: The radial opening of the groove pulley is from the center of the circle, and the driving part and the driven groove pulley turn in the same direction.
The fewer grooves of the outer groove pulley mechanism, the worse the dynamic performance. The inner groove pulley mechanism has better dynamic performance than the outer groove pulley mechanism.
3. The working principle of groove pulley
For the outer groove pulley mechanism, if the active dial 1 with a round pin continuously rotates, when the round pin has not entered the groove of the groove pulley 2 (to avoid axial force, it is normally open in the radial direction), due to the groove on the groove pulley The concave locking arc mn is caught by the convex arc locking arc mn of the dial, so the groove pulley does not move. When the round pin enters the groove, the locking arc is released, and the dial drives the groove pulley to rotate. When the round pin leaves the radial groove from the other side, the locking arc is caught again and the groove pulley stops moving until the next time the round pin enters the groove. In this way, the unidirectional intermittent rotary motion is output cyclically.
